Praise Is Rising - Music from Newfrontiers' Together On A Mission 2006

Blogging has taken a very extreme back-seat in my life over the last few months, something I hope to rectify in the next few weeks, when we will have internet in our new house.

On Saturday, Praise Is Rising, the album from the Newfrontiers Brighton Conferences, was delivered to my new house - very exciting! I have spent the last few days with it on repeat, and as always, it is a timely reminder of the encouraging time many people had in Brighton this summer.

Although none of the songs particularly struck me as absolutely incredible this year at the conference (unlike so many of the songs from last year), I have already picked out my favourites.

"I come Into Your Presence (Jesus My Only Hope)" has been a favourite Sovereign Grace song of mine, ever since my first visit to ChristChurch London. But it wasn't sung in any of the sessions I attended in Brighton! It must have been in one of the mornings when Mobilise weren't at the Brighton Centre.

My favourite on this album though, is a song by Joel Houston which Kate Simmonds leads in her inimitably passionate and inspiring way; this song has already been so helpful to me in my everyday worship. "Yours Is The Kingdom" has been a great way to start the last few days with Kate's voice ringing out: "Let's give glory to God this morning; all the glory is His!"

This is a resource that I know will be used by God over and over again in my life, as its predecessors have been.

UPDATE: You can now buy the Newfrontiers album, Praise Is Rising, from newgenbooks.com for only £12.50 including delivery.

On a separate note, here are some blog-goals I've made for the rest of 2006:

I have become a slow blogger. This bothers me, but it's as a result of too much real-life going on around me!
